Well- sooner than you think- the festive season will be upon us. So I have just baked my christmas cake- well it does need at least 8 weeks to mature and have a weekly feed of brandy. This year it took well over 2 hours to pull out the stalks and nobbles- despite buying quality fruit. But it is therapeutic and allows the mind a breather from the pressures of the day. So now on to the delicacies for the Samhain celebrations on Friday. Brightest Blessings.

Wonderful that you make your own cake! I’m a lazy toad and buy mine in from M & S – but at least I get a local turkey and trimmings from the butchers.
Even from M & S I find the ckae is usually a bit dry – so i top her up with brandy in the week prior. Hic!
Blessings to you at Samhain! xx
Baking the cake heralds the start of my kitchen fun. I usually bake the cake before Samhain- then some fun stuff with the kids for Samhain itself- then xmas puds and mince meat. Each week we get a few more items for the baking cupboard- so we can make toffee- tablet- lemon curd etc etc. My son 12- loves to help make the things trouble is he wants to eat them before Yule!
A blessed Samhain to you, sister-Witch!
Have a wonderfully magickally Samhain !!!!!!!!
